Our Early Years Teachers have been chosen for their caring attitude, playful nature, excellent qualifications and their genuine love of children. Deirdre Raleigh Owner/Manager

Deirdre has extensive experience in the Early Years Sector and is passionate about the provision of quality care and education in Early Years. A graduate of the Early Years Education and Practice degree from NUI Galway, Deirdre recognizes the association between quality practice and a professional qualified workforce. As a mother of three children herself Deirdre understands the importance of a nurturing environment where children feel respected, secure and can develop with confidence.

Debbie Wilson – Assistant Manager

Debbie has been an integral part of the team at Kids Kottage since it opened in 2011 , her kind and gentle disposition ensures a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for the babies and toddlers in her care. Debbie places quality and professionalism at the core of her practice. As Assistant Manager Debbie is available to offer support and work closely with all staff members to deliver a high quality care and education programme for all of the children. Debbie dedicates her time to mentoring students undertaking work experience , guiding them as they embark on their journey into becoming an early years educator. Furthermore, Debbie is our LINC co-ordinator here in Kids Kottage offering support, advice and guidance to our staff on ways to promote inclusion, foster positive behaviour and nurture diversity.

Ciara Forde: Compliance & Regulatory Manager

Ciara has been a valuable member of the team here in Kids Kottage since 2018. Ciara is a dedicated professional who truly embodies what it means to be an early years educator. Her practical hands on approach ensures the children are constantly busy learning and experiencing new concepts and ideas. Ciara is our compliance manager and fire officer ensuring our highest standards are consistently met. Ciara also oversees staff supervision offering guidance to staff on best practice. Outside of Kids Kottage, Ciara is a loving parent to two energetic young boys which brings a relatable perspective to her understanding of child development. Her commitment to creating a safe, supportive and stimulating environment for every child is evident in her room The Den.

Emma Moore: Pedagogical Lead and Operations Manager

Emma has been a treasured part of Kids Kottage since 2020. As our pedagogical lead, Emma is vital in ensuring a child centred approach is evident throughout the service. Emma takes her inspiration from Reggio Emilia and Waldorf, her expertise in child development and educational practices guides our approach to learning , ensuring rich and engaging experiences for every child. Emma also oversees staff supervision offering support to staff on best practice. Simultaneously, her role as Operations Manager ensures the smooth and efficient running of our setting. Emma’s dual focus brings a unique blend of educational vision and practical leadership to the service.

As graduates of the Early Years Degree programme they share a dept of knowledge and experience in Early Years Care and Education .
